About Us
“PlanLo” includes the hub, Travel, and Split (collectively the “Service”). Operations contact: plantravelhk@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
- Local data: Itinerary and split data are stored in your device’s browser (localStorage) by default. Core features can be used without signing in.
- Account sign-in: If you sign in with Google, we store the sign-in session and email address via Supabase Auth to identify membership level and provide online features. On planlo.net, travel.planlo.net, and split.planlo.net, this session is also shared across the three sites via a browser cookie (domain .planlo.net) so that signing in once works for all three. This cookie can be read by scripts on the page. Signing out on one site also signs you out of the three sites in this browser; other devices are unaffected. Netlify preview URLs do not share this cookie.
- Online saves / sharing: When you actively upload or create a share, the relevant content is stored in our online database. A share link lets the recipient view (or edit if authorized) that save.
- Technical logs: The site host (for example Netlify) may record basic access logs (IP address, time, path) for system operations and abuse prevention.
- Site analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect aggregated usage data (for example pages viewed, device type, referring domain) to improve the Service. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies; we do not collect itinerary or split content through Analytics.
How we use data
- Provide itinerary and split features, sign-in, online temporary storage, and sharing.
- Display membership level, usage limits, and the admin console (administrators only).
- Show ads to free members and signed-out users (see the next section).
- Analyze site usage in aggregate to improve the product and content (see “Site analytics”).
- We do not sell your itinerary content, nor do we maintain a public backend that can view all users’ itinerary content.
Ads and Cookies
Free accounts and signed-out users may see ads on the page (Google AdSense). Paid, Friend, or administrator accounts do not see ads.
- Third-party vendors: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
- Google advertising cookies: Google uses advertising cookies so that Google and its partners can serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Opt out of personalized ads: You can go to Google Ads Settings to opt out of personalized ads; you can also go to www.aboutads.info to opt out of cookies used by third-party vendors to serve personalized ads.
- Non-intrusive ads: Ads will not block the interface or core actions with pop-ups or overlays.
- Category blocking: We have blocked adult and other inappropriate ad categories.
For details on how Google uses advertising data, please see Google Advertising Policies.
Online retention period
Free online temporary storage and sharing are for short-term use; the interface will indicate that data should not be kept solely on the server for long periods. You can export a backup at any time (for example Excel, print/PDF, or a backup file) or delete the online copy. Longer server retention is a paid-member feature (if introduced).
Your Choices
- Export or delete local and online saves at any time.
- Revoke share links or adjust member permissions (edit / view-only / block).
- Sign out of your account; to delete the account, email us.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Service is used so we can improve the product and content. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to process relevant data. You can limit cookies through your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on. For details, please see Google Privacy Policy.
Third parties
The Service uses: Supabase (sign-in and database), Netlify (site hosting), Resend (system emails, if enabled), Google (OAuth sign-in, Google Analytics, and/or AdSense). Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
